Antenna Products Corp Continues GSA Contracts

MINERAL WELLS, TX, December 11, 2018 – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced November 27th that it will modernize federal acquisition by consolidating the agency’s 24 Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) into one single schedule for products and services.

Antenna Products Corporation (APC) in Mineral Wells, Texas holds multiple GSA contracts for antennas, towers and fall-prevention safety equipment— GS-03F-0127W and GS-07F-0151X — that could benefit from the upgraded procedures and simplified product locating process.

The GSA establishes long-term, government-wide contracts with commercial businesses, ultimately offering more than 10 million commercial supplies and services that federal, state, and local agencies can order directly from GSA Schedule businesses such as APC. The changes are aimed at eliminating the burden of managing contracts on multiple schedules in the current GSA process.

APC highlighted categories of the GSA Schedule

Ground-to-Air Antennas – APC has a unique and robust line of VHF/UHF civil aviation antennas designed for ground-to-air, air-to-ground, and point-to-point communications available with multiple configurations, features and characteristics to meet the needs of almost any installation. Discone, collinear vertically polarized, yagi, and circularly polarized styles are available. Unlike most providers, Antenna Products will custom design and build antennas to exact specifications.

HF Antennas – Military and defense organizations in the U.S. and worldwide have come to trust APC’s multifunctional HF antennas because of their rugged design, superior performance characteristics, longevity and corrosion resistance, and low maintenance engineering for use in harsh environments such as high wind, ice and snow. All of our multiport HF antennas include (4) omnidirectional and (1) directional port in frequencies ranging from 2-30 MHz.

ILS – APC manufactures several ILS (instrument landing system) aviation products, including our GS-420 glide slope antenna, yagi array antennas for monitoring the signal of a localizer array, as well as other products including phasers, probes, localizers and omni-range test antennas. Masts – APC features two series of telescopic antenna masts, the MM Telescoping Mast series and the MC Mast series. Both series are lightweight and precision engineered for rapid deployment and one-man carry.

Shipboard Antennas – The MPS series HF shipboard antennas by APC are omni-directional broadband HF vertically polarized radome antennas, with an instantaneous bandwidth of 2-30 MHz at powers up to 8 kW. Primarily designed for marine and shipboard use, these broadband, vertically polarized antennas can also be used as a fixed base station with a suitable ground screen and an HF Whip antenna.

Surveillance Antennas – APC has multiple series of military antennas that are well suited for surveillance applications. All feature rugged designs that are highly corrosion resistant and built to withstand high winds and icy conditions. The LPM series are dual polarized log periodic antennas featuring high gain and have been designed for superior performance in hostile environments.

Tactical Antennas – APC’s tactical portable VHF and UHF antennas are militarized, ruggedized, and transportable antenna products designed specifically to perform optimally during mission-critical communication operations in the world’s most extreme environments. Desirable characteristics of these antennas include easy installation, lightweight design, and durable storage bags for transport.

Additionally, APC’s transportable HF antennas are lightweight, rugged and have been engineered with features for ease of installation and rapid deployment in the field. The HT-20 series features ultra-lightweight telescoping masts which collapse to a transport length of just 63 inches for ease of storage and handling. Short, medium and long range portable HF antennas are available for path lengths from 0-1000 miles. The mast on APC’s HT-21 tactical HF antenna has a telescoping pneumatic design that can be extended with an air compressor or foot operated air pump. The DP-312 is a short range HF omni with horizontal polarization which permits operation over all types of soil without the need for a ground screen.

Towers – APC is a world-class manufacturer of industrial and commercial antenna towers from 10-150 feet, including RTR (remote transmitter/receiver) guyed and self-supporting configurations for military and defense, aviation, transportation and carrier industry applications. The RTR towers meet or exceed the requirements of FAA-C-2621, and also utilize A-36 steel which is hot dip galvanized in accordance with ASTM A-123. The RTR towers also include a ladder in accordance with OSHA requirements, as well as safety climbing rail in accordance with Interim Federal Specification RR-S-001301 and MIL-S-87966, work platform, antenna supports, embedment hardware, guy wires (if applicable), and anchors. Optional features include obstruction marking orange and white paint, lighting kit, grounding kit and guy kit. Tower painting services are also available from APC.

UHF/VHF Antennas – APC manufactures a broad line of VHF and UHF military antennas including manpacks, shipboard units, surveillance, vehicle-mounted designs and one of the industry’s most comprehensive lines of ground-to-air collinear omni-directional dipole antennas.
