Antenna Products’ tower ladders are designed for 300 lbs. live loads and are supplied in welded 10-foot or 20-foot lengths of galvanized steel. The ladder steps are 3/4 inches diameter and on 12-inch spacings. The width is 16 inches as required by OSHA. The ladder may be fastened to a tower face with two U-bolt fasteners every 10 feet for attachment to braces, or to a tower leg with a tower leg adapter which positions the ladder 7 inches from the tower leg every 10 feet. The tower leg adapter comes in various sizes to adapt to carious tower legs. When ordering, a customer should state the tower leg diameter to the nearest 1/2 inch. The ladder sections are fastened together by two standard bolts. An overlap of two inches per ladder section should be considered when calculating the total ladder length.

One of the best maximum fall prevention systems on the market today, Antenna Products’ Tubular Rail System and its components combine to help eliminate serious injury or possible death caused by slipping or falling. The system is designed with notches in the carrier rail on 6-inch spacings. The safety sleeve will engage one of these notches in case of a slip or fall. Available in either aluminum, galvanized steel or stainless steel, the vertical climbing safety rails and components are ideal for all types of ladders, broadcast towers, water towers, bridges power dams, metal or floodlight poles, etc.The vertical safety climbing sleeve (1000-1672-401) is made of stainless steel and is positioned on the carrier rail by six precision rollers. Grade 17-4 aircraft stainless steel locking pawl provides maximum reliability and corrosion resistance. A Mil spec. spring is used to keep proper tension on the locking pawl. In case of emergency the pawl automatically engages. Fitted with a high quality forged steel double locking snap hook for connecting the sleeve assembly to safety belt. Designed to absorb the impact load of 500 pounds in a 18-inch free fall and to support a minimum static load of 1,000 pounds, Antenna Products’ Tubular Rail Systems is built in accordance with Federal Spec. RR-S-001301 and conforms to OSHA paragraph #1910.27. Installation is readily accomplished without the use of special tools or equipment.

Safety Rails: Vertical safety rails are available in 6061-T6 aluminum, hot-dipped galvanized steel, or stainless steel for compatibility with existing structure or environmental conditions. The back side of the galvanized or stainless steel carrier rails is drilled and tapped every 9.917 inches to provide flexibility of attachment points using any one of the mounting brackets or clamps.Unusual installations may require radius of curved rail and/or special mounting brackets, which can be quoted upon request.

Aluminum Tubular Rail: Made of 6061-T6 aluminum, notched every six inches. Has variable mounting. Comes complete with connector strap to join sections together.

Galvanized Steel Tubular Rail: Made of steel and galvanized per ASTM A-123 after fabrication. Notched ever six inches and has drilled and tapped mounting holes every 9.917 inches for mounting to structure. Comes complete with connector strap to join sections together.

Stainless Steel Tubular Rail: Made of stainless steel type 316 and is similar to the galvanized rail above.
