The TLP-20 is a tactical log periodic antenna that covers the 20-1000 MHz frequency range and is designed for transmit and receive purposes. The antenna uses a 3 piece boom for quick assembly and disassembly in the field, with minimal or no tools and can be used in the vertical or horizontal mode. The antennas removable elements clamp onto an element adapter for quick installation; each element and element position is numbered to insure it is installed in its proper position.

The TLP-20 is constructed of high quality aluminum with all stainless steel hardware resulting in a lightweight and high strength antenna ideally suited for fixed or tactical systems.

The HT-30 3 to 30 MHz antenna is used for short and medium range skywave propagation circuits. It is designed to handle 14 kW transmitters. The antenna is designed for field operations where transportability is essential and erection and disassembly must be accomplished in a minimum time by a minimum number of personnel. The equipment is stored in transportable two-man carry containers. The antenna consists of two orthogonal broadband dipole elements supported by a 30 ft. telescoping mast at the center of the structure. The elements slope radially outward and toward the ground. Each element is made of five phosphor-bronze wires in a fan shaped configuration that terminate to a resistive load to ground. The telescopic mast is pneumatically operated and is designed for rapid deployment of tactical antennas. It is a PM-456 mast that is modified to provide a 30 foot erection height for the antenna matching unit (AMU). The AMU consists of four identical RF units that match the fan dipole elements to 50 ohms.

The elements are fed using a broadband quadrature hybrid which enables the antenna to radiate either right-hand circular or left-hand circular polarization. The hybrid locate at ground level near the base of the mast. The hybrid outputs connect to the AMU by means of four RG-393 coaxial transmission lines

Applications:

The HT-25A is a predominantly horizontally polarized, dual input antenna with a full 2 to 30 Mhz instantaneous bandwidth at each input. The antenna is formed using crossed fan-type sloping dipoles. A sectionalized mast is used to elevate the center to 21 feet. The mast also supports the unit that houses the hybrid and impedance matching devices. The antenna elements are made of vinyl coated galvanized cable to protect the elements from corrosive environments and to minimize high voltage hazards.

Features:

The HT-25A is a militarized, transportable HF antenna designed specifically for short range (0-300 miles) near vertical incident skywave circuits. The horizontal polarization permits operation over all soil types without the need for a ground screen. A hybrid feed provides two isolated broadband RF inputs suitable for receive and/or transmit applications up to 1 kW average power. Additionally, the two crossed dipoles provide polarization diversity for receiving. This lightweight antenna is rugged and easy to erect. The antenna may be erected by two men in less than one hour. The elements are stored on winder boards that contain the terminations, the permanently attached guys, grounding wires and interconnects.

Equipment Supplied:

The antenna comes equipped with radiating elements containing terminations, a dual input hybrid, a sectional mast, guys, a pivot base, anchors, ground rods, hammer, two transit cases, and two coaxial cables that provide interface connectors at the bottom of the mast.

Optional Equipment:

A crank-up or pneumatic telescoping mast, foot pump and electric compressor.

Applications:

The HT-20T is a lightweight transportable HF antenna that provides excellent radiation characteristics for short range 0 to 300 mile circuits. The HT-20T uses two elements mounted orthogonally on the mast. The antenna can be used for transmitting and /or receiving simultaneously with approximately 30 dB isolation between the elements. The lightweight rugged design and quick erection features are ideal for meeting rapid deployment requirements. The installed geometry minimizes land area usage and permits installation in the space constraints typically encountered in an operational area.

Features:

The key to the transportable design is the lightweight telescoping mast which collapses to a transport length of 63 inches for ease of storage and handling.

Characteristics:

The primary mode of propagation is HF Near Vertical Incident Skywave (NVIS) with the maximum radiation directed toward the zenith. The antenna provides broadband operation in the 2-30 Mhz frequency range with a maximum VSWR of 2:1. The 50 ohm input impedance is achieved by a mast-top mounted hybrid feeding the dipole elements. The antenna is rated at 1 kW average, 2 kW PEP input power.

Applications:

The HT-20B, military nomenclature AS-4096/G, is a lightweight transportable HF antenna that provides excellent radiation characteristics for short range 0 to 300 mile circuits. The lightweight rugged design and quick erection features are ideal for meeting rapid deployment requirements. The installed geometry minimizes land area usage and permits installation in the space constraints typically encountered in an operational area.

Features:

The key to the transportable design is the ultra-lightweight sectional mast which collapses to a convenient transport length for ease of storage and handling.

Characteristics:

The primary mode of propagation is HF Near Vertical Incident Skywave (NVIS) with the maximum radiation directed toward the zenith. The antenna provides broadband operation in the 2-30 Mhz frequency range with a maximum VSWR of 2:1. The 50 ohm input impedance is achieved by a mast-top mounted balun feeding the dipole elements. The antenna is rated at 150 watt average/PEP.

Equipment Supplied:

Equipment supplied includes the telescoping mast, element wires, balun, terminations, accessory kit and canvas carrying bag.

Optional Equipment:

Transit case.
