Description

Applications:

The HT-22 is a militarized, transportable HF antenna designed specifically for short range (0-300 miles) near vertical incident skywave circuits. The horizontal polarization permits operation over all soil types without the need for a ground screen. A hybrid feed provides two isolated broadband RF inputs suitable for receive an transmit applications up to 3 kW average power.

Features:

The HT-22 antenna provides full 2-30 Mhz operation at a VSWR of 2.3:1 or less. The antenna is fed with a two port HF hybrid. The antenna is capable of transmitting on two frequencies simultaneously at power levels up to 3 kW average, receiving on two frequencies simultaneously, and transmit on one frequency while receiving on a second frequency simultaneously. The antenna is designed to be lightweight, rugged and easy to erect. The antenna may be erected by two men in less than one hour. The masts, anchors, antenna elements, and element supports are stored in a transit frame. The elements are constructed of vinyl coated galvanized cable to protect the elements in corrosive environments.

Characteristics:

At 2 Mhz the minimum gain is -4 dBi. The gain increases to 0 dBi at 3 Mhz and above. The two radiation patterns to the two RF inputs ports have identical RF gain and pattern shape but are rotated 90 degrees in azimuth. The hybrid is located at the top of the sectionalized tubular aluminum mast.

Equipment Supplied:

The antenna comes equipped with radiating elements containing terminations, a dual input hybrid, a sectional mast, guys, a pivot base, anchors, ground rods, hammer, two transit cases, and two coaxial cables that provide interface connectors at the bottom of the mast.

Optional Equipment:

A crank-up or pneumatic telescoping mast, foot pump and electric compressor.
