Shipboard Antennas & Tilt Units

Antenna Products has an extensive line of shipboard antennas and accessories. Available in frequencies ranging from MHz to GHz, APC’s shipboard antennas are rugged and reliable meeting MIL-S-901C, Grade A, Class 1 Shock and MIL-STD-167-1, Type 1 Vibration requirements.  Antenna Products is the main US supplier for shipboard Antenna Tilt units used for tilting HF antennas over the deck of naval ships so aircraft can safely takeoff and land on deck while at sea.  Antenna Products shipboard tilt units are modular electromechanical systems for lowering and raising dual shipboard communication antennas such as shipboard whip antennas. Featuring heavy duty and lightweight models for single or dual antenna configurations, our tilt units have over 90% commonality of components. These units are designed to withstand loads of 1,000,000 in/lb, and are normally used where green water loads are a major concern.

Our MPS series HF shipboard antennas are omni-directional broadband HF vertically polarized radome antennas, with an instantaneous bandwidth of 2-30 MHz at powers up to 8 kW. Primarily designed for marine and shipboard use, these broadband, vertically polarized antennas can also be used as a fixed base station with a suitable ground screen and an HF Whip antenna.

Our militarized shipboard antennas have been designed for rugged durability and low maintenance in even the most extreme marine environments. Shipboard tilt units are also available both lightweight and heavy duty models to support either single or dual antennas.
