DVOR-1

The DVOR antenna is an Alford loop antenna with polyester fiberglass upper and lower radomes. The antenna is tunable to the required frequency which varies for each location.

The DVOR-1 is one of the antennas that make up a Digital Vertical Omni Range Antenna circular array that provides navigation information to aircraft. Aircraft fly to a DVOR array and then fly out from the array and in that manner navigate to the desired location.
