Antenna Products Corp. (APC) announced today that it has been awarded a substantial contract for delivery of instrument landing system (ILS) antennas, towers and accessories to be utilized in airports across the United States. The contract provides for a firm purchase order covering the contractor’s requirement over the 2018 calendar year representing low seven figures of revenue for the company. These antennas and accessories will be manufactured in APC’s 100,000 square foot plant in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Antenna Products, a leading developer and manufacturer of high quality antenna systems for military, aviation, electronic toll and communication applications, designs and manufactures a line of Localizer and Glide Slope antennas that are the de facto standard for ILS (Instrument Landing System) antennas across the United States. “We estimate that over 90% of the ILS antennas currently used in commercial airports in the United States were manufactured by Antenna Products,” said Phil Park, the company’s VP of Sales. Park continues, “In addition to providing real world proven performance, our ILS antennas have also demonstrated that they can withstand the test of time and the unique environmental conditions associated with operating in close proximity to active runways.”
APC’s leading commitment to the ILS market is further demonstrated by the certification of its GS-420 Antenna to be the only glide slope antenna certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Next Generation ILS-420 system.
